The Production Engineer plays a pivotal role in meeting customer expectations and driving business success by contributing to the realization of new contracts, optimizing current contracts, and developing tools and techniques to enhance production efficiency. This role is central to all production-related activities, focusing on implementing new processes and procedures that improve productivity, reduce waste, enhance quality and safety, and minimize operating costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and promote the adoption of new technologies and processes during component manufacturing to ensure cost-effectiveness and market leadership.
  • Participate in the cost estimation and contract review process, ensuring accurate costs and processes are defined, feasibility is assessed, and inspection methods are correctly identified to guarantee consistent component manufacturing.
  • Provide technical documentation, such as CAD/CAM files, setup sheets, tooling specifications, and fixture references, when rolling out components into production.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety procedures and highlight any potential risks to personnel or the company.
  • Employ LEAN techniques to reduce costs and waste, approaching tasks with a continuous improvement mindset and introducing more effective methods.
