Job Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker for Young Learners to join our team in Sheffield. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners with complex needs to access and engage with their learning sessions.

You will work closely with teachers, other professionals, and families to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed. Your creative approach, patience, and passion for supporting children with SEND will be highly valued by our team.

About the Role

  1. Provide support to students with High Needs by removing barriers to learning and promoting effective participation.
  2. Contribute to the identification of the support needs of students with High Needs.
  3. Be a key worker for learners as directed by appropriate managers, ensuring barriers to accessing learning are addressed.
  4. Work closely with others to achieve a full understanding of the needs of individual students and contribute to target setting as part of the EHC process.
  5. Ensure all safeguarding and health and safety processes and protocols are in place.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a similar role or transferable role.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
