About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a global manufacturing group to recruit a driven and dynamic Management Accountant. This permanent and progressive accounting role offers the opportunity to work in a leading and entrepreneurial manufacturing group with a global presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, develop, and analyze financial information to support business decision-making.
  • Own the Fixed Asset Register and verify assets across UK sites.
  • Manage IFRS 16 Leased Asset Accounting and review Assets Under Construction and capitalization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create longer-term Capex spend plans for the Budget and Strategy Plan years.
  • Post journals, accruals, and prepayments, and review capex project forecasts and depreciation.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support internal and external audits as required and provide cover for the Senior Finance team.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar position with strong MS Excel skills and experience in financial systems.
  • Part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Adaptable to business needs with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector and use of SAP are advantageous but not essential.
