Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Network Automation Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure that will enable our next-generation Network Automation platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Network Automation Team to build and deploy infrastructure supporting our new automation platform.
  2. Establish metrics for data-driven decisions to improve availability, reliability, and velocity.
  3. Develop and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for network/system/application baselines.
  4. Analyze data and test the integrity of network/systems to ensure production applications and services are operating optimally.

Requirements

  1. At least 3 years of professional experience in cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.
  2. Experience with Python and Go programming languages.
  3. Expert knowledge of Linux systems, network programming, and protocols TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP.
  4. Experience with DevOps principles and concepts such as Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Saltstack), CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins, Git), monitoring, and visualization (Prometheus, Grafana).
  5. Experience with big data technologies such as NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka.
  6. Experience analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, UI visualization.
  7. Experience in developing software, troubleshooting, and monitoring large-scale distributed systems.
  8. Implement software engineering best practices/standards and the software development life cycle.
  9. Working knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodologies.
  10. BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements

While we are flexible about our working locations, we do require occasional travel for department conferences, team meetings, or group working sessions. You may be required to attend your local Imperva office from time to time to work with colleagues from your own or different departments.
