Site Reliability Engineer (Network Automation)

About the Role

Imperva is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Network Automation Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure that will enable our next-generation Network Automation platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Network Automation Team to build and deploy infrastructure supporting our new automation platform.
  2. Establish metrics for data-driven decisions to improve availability, reliability, and velocity.
  3. Develop and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for network and system performance.
  4. Proactively analyze data and test the integrity of network and systems to ensure optimal production application and service performance.

Requirements

  1. At least 3 years of professional experience in cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.
  2. Experience with Python and Go programming languages, with C/C++ a plus.
  3. Expert knowledge of Linux systems, network programming, and protocols such as TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, and HTTP.
  4. Experience with DevOps principles and concepts, including Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Saltstack), CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins, Git), monitoring, and visualization (Prometheus, Grafana).
  5. Experience with big data technologies such as NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Kafka.
  6. Experience analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, and UI visualization.
  7. Experience in developing software, troubleshooting, and monitoring large-scale distributed systems.
  8. Implement software engineering best practices and standards, and the software development life cycle.
  9. Working knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodologies.
  10. BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
