Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a variety of geotechnical projects from inception to completion, including liaison with clients, regulators, and design engineers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and design engineers
- Manage financial budgets for projects
- Characterise ground conditions and provide recommendations for foundation design, ground improvements, earthworks, basements, retaining walls, mining, dissolution, and slope stability assessments
- Conversant with design software and geophysical surveys
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a ground investigation within the UK
- Experience of soil/rock logging, fieldwork, and sitework supervision
- Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or relevant degree
- Self-starter, team player with strong communication skills and proactive character
- UK driving licence for travelling to sites within the UK
