Location: Primary School in the Canley Area

About the Role:

We are seeking a caring and nurturing SEN teaching assistant to work in our welcoming Primary school. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Key Stage Two who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is non-verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a child with ASD and non-verbal communication in a 1:1 setting
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to support the child's emotional well-being
