About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Manager to join our team at the Financial Ombudsman Service. As a Knowledge Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality, agile knowledge service to colleagues across the organization, ensuring that everyone who has contact with our customers has access to comprehensive and well-written process knowledge content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that knowledge content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to our customers' needs.
  • Work closely with casework leaders to identify content gaps and adherence issues, creating new content or editing existing content to drive improvements.
  • Oversee the management of our decision databases, including the uploading of decisions to our databases, prompt handling of queries, and escalation of issues to the senior leadership team.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and inspire the Knowledge Team by role modeling our values and leadership behaviors, setting clear expectations on performance and service.
  • Work with the Head of Customer Services to deliver the knowledge strategy, ensuring that knowledge capability, capacity, and agility continue to develop within the Financial Ombudsman.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable significant experience in knowledge management, digital literacy, content design, and content management within a complex customer-focused environment.
  • Previous experience leading, motivating, coaching, and inspiring a team, setting clear expectations on performance and service, while supporting development and wellbeing.
  • Previous experience overseeing the creation/editing and sign-off of knowledge content in a customer-focused environment.
  • A good understanding of risk management, including identifying risks and coming up with proposals to manage them in a proportionate way.
  • Experience using SharePoint online.
