Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

At Rullion, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of health, safety, and environmental risk within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice.
  • Provide competent Environmental, Health and Safety support to our depot management team.
  • Ensure the implementation of procedures and processes within our Business Management system.
  • Carry out proactive monitoring activities of inspection and auditing.
  • Raise and support others in raising issues identified via our Notify system, shift reports, and incident reporting forms.
  • Ensure that all EHS legislation, customer, and stakeholder EHS requirements, including contractors and suppliers, and industry best practice are recognized and adopted.
  • Help plan, implement, monitor, and review protective and preventative measures identified by the hazard analysis and risk assessment process.
  • Outline safe operating procedures that identify and take account of all relevant hazards and assist in creating suitable and sufficient risk assessments.
  • Deliver informal internal safety training courses to site-based staff and contractors.
  • Advise depot management teams on safe systems of work and industry best practice to ensure a positive EHS culture.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in health and safety management.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body (IOSH).
  • Qualification in Internal Auditing (preferred).
