Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Lead

About the Role:

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at Siemens Energy Limited. This role involves collaborating closely with the Head of EHS to develop and implement the EHS strategy, fostering a proactive EHS culture, and promoting health and safety awareness among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the business adheres to all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Implementing projects to deliver the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy in collaboration with the Head of EHS.
  • Engaging with employees at all levels to drive and embed a proactive health & safety culture through effective communication and coaching.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on regulation and risk mitigation on health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Performing regular inspections across the site, accurately reporting the findings.
  • Undertaking incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis and internal auditing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/Engineering industry.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in health and safety.
  • NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental Management Certificate (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations.
  • In-depth Knowledge of REACH Regulations.
  • In-depth Knowledge of PUWER Regulations.
  • In-depth Knowledge of HAV's Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
