Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Poole. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in championing product and process quality at an operational level, supporting the achievement of company objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide quality support within the manufacturing facility to achieve quality objectives and reduce the cost of poor quality.
  2. Develop and implement effective quality control processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  3. Collaborate with the quality inspection team to analyze quality inspection data and review the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
  4. Facilitate root cause analysis and reporting activities to identify and address quality issues.
  5. Drive supplier quality improvement activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  6. Participate in key NPI projects to ensure quality conformance.
  7. Support the development and implementation of quality awareness programs to promote a culture of quality excellence.
Requirements:
  1. Degree or higher in a quality-related field or relevant industry experience.
  2. Knowledge of investigative techniques, including internal auditing, 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, and Lean measurement tools.
  3. Knowledge of APQP project processes, including DFMEA, PFMEA, quality control plans, and process flow mapping.
  4. Knowledge of supplier-related quality practices and processes, including PPAP, ISIR, and supplier quality assessments.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. 6 months or more of relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  7. Computer and Microsoft software literacy.
  8. Full driving license.
