Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Location: Glasgow

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday & Friday 4pm

Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 Starting Salary

The Service Engineer (Field) role is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful manufacturer of forklift trucks. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts in and around Glasgow.

We are looking for a skilled engineer with mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills. You will be part of a team of engineers who will work together to provide excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
  2. Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
  3. Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
  4. Spares placed in van overnight

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
  2. Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
  3. IT literate
