Job Title: SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant Position

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience in Early Years education and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families?

We are working with a lovely Nursery School who are seeking an Early years SEN Practitioner to work 1:1 with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In this role, you will support and promote the child's individual development through sensory play and regulating activities, while encouraging and supporting daily routine and safety. You will work closely with the nursery SENCo, children's families, and any other outside agencies to promote the best outcomes for the child.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Providing stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources that are appropriate to the child's age and stage of development
  • Ensuring that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promoting these daily in every routine
  • Undertaking any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families
