About the Role
As a Compliance and Reporting Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving revenue optimization strategies, providing insightful guidance to key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your extensive experience in revenue accounting, leadership skills, and analytical abilities will be invaluable in this position. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Sales and Finance teams to validate sales forecasts and align revenue targets with overall company objectives.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address revenue recognition complexities and ensure alignment with business objectives and tax structuring.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of revenue accounting ledgers is complete and balances, both P&L and Balances Sheet.
  • Analyse gross margin performance for professional services engagements, pre, during and post deployment.
  • Develop and implement robust reporting and analysis tools to track gross margin trends, identify areas for improvement, and drive profitability.
  • Establish and monitor key sales performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of sales and delivery strategies and initiatives.

Your Qualifications
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant.
  • Extensive experience in revenue accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a software or technology company.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including IFRS15, and experience applying them in a software/SaaS environment.
  • Solid proven understanding in tax compliance and optimisation through distribution agreements and transfer pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
