Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to lead our baby room. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained at all times. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of our nursery and helping us to deliver our vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the needs of the unit.
  • Room Management: Ensure the daily, weekly, and monthly checks in the room are completed effectively, and agreed action plans are put in place.
  • Safety and Well-being: Monitor accident trends and take appropriate action to prevent incidents.
  • Training and Development: Support staff development, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth.
  • Communication: Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the nursery, ensuring common goals can be achieved.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification at least Level 3 or above.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing a unit within a similar setting.
  • Certifications: Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene certifications.
  • DBS Check: Clear and valid Enhanced DBS check.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly within the working week.
