Job Description

This Systems Modeller position offers a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge System-of-Systems project, delivering crucial elements with technical excellence. As a member of our expanding modelling team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and support of new capabilities.

You will work closely with our Principal Modelling Engineer and the Project Design Authority to ensure high-quality delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Simulink, HDL Coder, and RF sensors, as well as knowledge of physics and mathematical principles at Degree-level.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project
  • Acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries
  • Line managing and mentoring graduate modelling engineers
  • Generating Simulink-based models for deployment onto FPGA targets

Requirements:

  • Experience deploying Simulink models to FPGA targets
  • System documentation skills
  • Designing, building, and testing Simulink models
  • Knowledge of RF sensors in a Defence setting
  • Desirable: Experience of line management and working in HWIL test environments
