Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civils Project Engineering Manager to join our team on a major project in Warrington. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and performing engineering activities for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing and implementing project manpower needs and coordinate technical activities among disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements.
  • Conduct design of a technically sound, safe, and operable plant with a high degree of reliability.
  • Prepare and issue Engineering Execution Plans, incorporating customer requirements, procedures, and standards.
  • Compile lists from each discipline to develop master document lists for projects.
  • Work with project stakeholders to develop subcontract and work package descriptions consistent with the contracting plan.
  • Coordinate development of work-hour estimates and transfer information to Project Controls for engineering cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with other departments participating on the project.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between Project Engineering, customers, and outside groups.
  • Keep project stakeholders informed of project progress, performance, and manpower utilization.
  • Assure proper documentation of meetings, agreements, conversations, and other project-related activities.
  • Coordinate customer engineering comments, approvals, and requests with functional activities of all disciplines.
  • Encourage and assist in the technical and managerial development of subordinates.
  • Coordinate Independent Engineering Design Reviews by discipline engineering management.
  • Review engineering performance to ensure quality, conformance with conceptual design, and completeness of engineering tasks.
  • Promptly review Design Change Notices, identify change order candidates, segregate cost collection, and assist the Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order management.
Requirements
  • Ideal degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Ideal Chartered or working towards.
  • Held similar engineering management position.
  • Proven experience within a highly regulated construction sector, including commissioning.
  • Knowledge of safety case justification.
  • Sound understanding of building regulations and planning submissions of CDM regulations.
  • Currently hold SC or prepared to go through the SC process.
