About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Academic Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Norton College. This specialist school for secondary students aged 11-19 in Worcester and Tewkesbury requires a dedicated professional to teach Mathematics GCSE and support students with complex learning needs.

This role involves delivering high-quality educational experiences, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring the smooth operation of college activities. Key responsibilities include preparing Programmes of work and Schemes of Study, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of curriculum materials.

Essential Requirements
  • The successful candidate must hold a relevant qualification in Mathematics and have recent experience working with pupils who require SEMH support.
  • In addition, the candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
