Workshop Engineer Opportunity

Logisnext is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Walsall. As a leading manufacturer of industrial trucks, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To conduct thorough assessments of material handling equipment for any damage or defects.
  • To install and configure aftermarket components, including electronic and hydraulic systems, as needed.
  • To construct and assemble components for material handling equipment, ensuring precision and quality.
  • To perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of material handling equipment, adhering to safety protocols and deadlines.
  • To identify and troubleshoot faults, executing repairs and adjustments as necessary.
  • To maintain accurate records and documentation, including reports and timesheets.
  • To ensure a safe and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • To participate in ad-hoc projects and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a workshop or heavy engineering environment, preferably within the materials handling sector.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations and standards.
