Workshop Engineer Job Description

Logisnext is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Walsall. As a leading manufacturer of industrial trucks, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assess and repair material handling equipment, ensuring it meets our high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • To install and configure aftermarket components, including electronic and hydraulic systems.
  • To construct and modify components for material handling equipment, utilizing mechanical and electrical skills.
  • To diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • To maintain accurate records and documentation, including reports and timesheets.
  • To adhere to safety protocols and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  • To maintain a clean and organized workspace, as well as properly handle tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • A qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven experience in a workshop or heavy engineering environment, preferably within the materials handling sector.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations and standards.
