Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Haematology & Oncology Day Unit team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering systemic anti-cancer therapy, and supporting patients with haematological and oncological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
- Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments to patients.
- Assist with holistic needs assessments and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
Requirements
- NMC registration and a qualified nurse.
- UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices.
- Competence in UKONS triage.
