About the Role

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Haematology & Oncology Day Unit as a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) bank nurse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with haematological cancers and solid tumours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments
  • Complete UKONS triage and assessments
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments
  • Educate patients in the management of their care
  • Assist with outpatient consultant clinics

Requirements

  • Be NMC registered and be a qualified nurse
  • Have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
  • Have a minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
  • Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Be competent in UKONS triage
