About the Role

Guidant Global is seeking a skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team in a Defence context. As a Human Factors Engineer, you will play a crucial part in advancing human-machine relationship technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Human Factors Integration: Conduct Human Factors Integration throughout the development life-cycle, providing progressive assurance to the customer in accordance with Def Stan.
  2. System Architecture: Integrate the human element into the system architecture using a model-based systems engineering approach, defining appropriate human views to meet stakeholder needs and HF requirements.
  3. Operator Role Assessment: Assess the operator's role in the weapon system, including planning and command control.
  4. Technical Reporting: Generate technical reports and provide effective communication skills.
Requirements
  1. Member of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (IEHF) - (Required upon submitting application.)
  2. Substantial & demonstrable understanding of the application of Human Factors Integration & Human Factors Engineering in a Defence context (Highly Essential)
  3. Application of Human Factors Integration & Human Factors Engineering in a Defence context (Air domain preferable)
  4. Understanding in modelling HF elements in SysML as part of a Model-Based Systems Engineering technique
  5. Experience with architectural modelling tools (e.g., Rhapsody) and Agile Engineering practices and working in Systems Engineering teams
  6. Implementing Human-Centred Design Processes
  7. Knowledge of defence standards, MS Office, and DOORS
  8. Perform essential human factors (HF) tasks such as analysing tasks, developing requirements, conducting user trials, and experimentation.
