Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

About the Role:
- Initiate recovery from drug and/or alcohol misuse with service users in prisons, enabling them to build their own recovery capital.
- Promote the programme with service users and colleagues to generate good levels of participation.
- Prepare and deliver group psycho-social interventions, including Foundations of Rehabilitation programme, and tailored pod working.
- Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
About You:
- Experience of working in health and social care.
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and Recovery.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Ability to deliver group and training interventions.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and excellent time management skills.
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership with diverse professionals and stakeholders.
- Understanding of information governance processes and commitment to necessary safeguards.
- Sensitivity when working with complex needs.
- Ability to manage change prioritising service user needs.
