About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals within a prison setting to overcome drug and alcohol misuse, empowering them to build their own recovery capital.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating recovery from drug and/or alcohol misuse with service users.
  • Generating high participation levels in our programme through effective promotion and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Preparing and delivering group psycho-social interventions, including the Foundations of Rehabilitation programme, tailored to meet the needs of the caseload.
  • Developing strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and recovery.

Key requirements include:

  • A minimum of experience in health and social care.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • An ability to deliver group and training interventions to Service Users.
  • Proactivity, with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of information governance processes, with a commitment to following and applying necessary safeguards.
  • Sensitivity in working with complex and diverse needs.
  • Ability to manage change successfully, prioritising the needs of service users.

This role is not eligible for a Health and Care Worker visa. You may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, but must meet the minimum salary requirements for the role.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain HMPPS security clearance.
