Job Description

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity dedicated to transforming lives affected by drugs and alcohol misuse. As a Substance Misuse Case Manager, you will join Aspire, a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster, and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

This innovative role combines the strengths of both NHS provision and the voluntary sector. You will work closely with recovery communities to provide flexible services offering the best outcomes for users and the community.

Main Duties
  • Provide advice and brief interventions, some structured key working, assessments, and a needle exchange service through the Open Access and Assessment team.

To succeed in this position, you must have experience working in substance misuse services, multi-disciplinary teams, and key working with psychological/psychosocial interventions.

Person Specification
  • Essential: Experience of working within substance misuse services, knowledge of substances and their effects, health and safety, the recovery movement, safeguarding adults and children principles, mental health issues, therapeutic interventions, and clinical management of medical interventions.
  • Desirable: Understanding of equality and diversity, electronic operating systems, social capital, and mental health.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Diploma in Substance Misuse, accompanied by L3 Drug and Alcohol qualifications, Microsoft Office skills, and experience with systmOne electronic operating systems.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000-£38,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
