Job Title: Substance Misuse Nurse
Location: Greater London
Rate: 36k - 47k Depending on experience
Permanent position

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical and mental health to identify individual needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with individuals struggling with substance misuse, providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for them to share their experiences.
  • Provide education and screening on blood-borne viruses (BBV) and Hepatitis B injections, ensuring individuals receive accurate information to make informed decisions about their health.
  • Train service users and staff on Naloxone administration, ensuring timely distribution of this lifesaving medication.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing and maintain an active NMC Pin.
  • Have experience working within substance misuse services, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities involved.
  • Exhibit an empathetic, non-judgmental, and professional attitude towards all stakeholders and service users, fostering a culture of trust and respect.
