About the Role: Galaxy Personnel is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Norfolk. As a CNC Production Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of CNC machines and achieving high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to set up and operate CNC machines efficiently.
  • Use computer software to create accurate cutting paths and program machines for optimal production.
  • Perform regular quality control checks to guarantee products meet design specifications and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings and cutting paths to optimize production while preserving product quality.
  • Consider tool requirements for various materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Identify and resolve machine-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and sharpening.
  • Provide training and guidance to new employees on proper CNC machine operation and programming techniques.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
