We are seeking an Academic Support Specialist to join our team at REESON Education. The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant in a small class setting, providing one-on-one support to students with severe learning difficulties and profound multi-learning difficulties.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working with young people, sensitivity, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils. Key responsibilities include working with class teachers to raise learning and attainment, promoting independence and self-esteem, and supporting planning and resourcing for lessons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with severe learning difficulties and profound multi-learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses to develop holistic approaches to student support.
  • Support planning and resourcing for lessons to promote student engagement and learning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Enthusiasm for working with young people.
  • Sensitivity and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
  • Absolutely dedication to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding pupils' well-being and equality.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
