Job Title: Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team at CareTech UK. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing psychological input to our Multi-Disciplinary Team and service users.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a professional qualification and a desire to support our service users during a period of rehabilitation at Uplands Hospital in Fareham, Hampshire. You will work under qualified psychologist and trainee psychologist supervision to provide specialist psychological assessments, formulation, and treatment in the limits of professional competency and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychology input under qualified psychologist and trainee psychologist supervision to the Multi-Disciplinary Team and service users.
  • Contribute to the development of care plans based on an appropriate conceptual framework of the service user's problems.
  • Implement a range of psychological interventions, individually and in group settings, under qualified and trainee psychologist supervision.
  • Support the outcome of treatment using appropriate outcome measures and adapt treatment according to the service user's mental state and motivational level.
  • Contribute indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all service users, across all settings and agencies serving the client group.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a professional qualification in psychology and experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs. You will also need to be able to work under qualified psychologist and trainee psychologist supervision and contribute to the development of care plans.
