We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Paramedic Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
You will work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, using your compassion and experience to help customers move forward with their lives.
Our tailored training programme will help you thrive in this challenging and rewarding role, which involves conducting telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
- Produce PIP reports to help the DWP determine a person's eligibility for benefits
- Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision
- Valid HCPC registration number
- At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
- Salary £37,800
- Flexible working options
