Climax Studios is a leading creative force in independent game development, renowned for its exceptional portfolio of top-tier titles. Our state-of-the-art studio in Liverpool's Albert Dock offers an inspiring and dynamic work environment.

We seek an experienced and versatile Senior Environment Visualizer to lead our team in crafting innovative visual experiences for AAA titles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of generating diverse styles, technical expertise with current-gen technology, and/or illustration skills.

This role is based in our Liverpool studio and requires full-time onsite presence.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience in console development with at least 2 shipped titles and one as a Lead Artist.
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills when directing internal or external teams or individuals.
  • Excellent resource management and judgement while assigning artists of varying skill sets to numerous projects in the studio.
  • Comfortable liaising with and presenting to clients in an authoritative and professional manner.
  • A self-motivated team leader who is outgoing, friendly, gregarious with attention to detail and a passion for delivering the best possible game experience.
  • Autonomous in managing deadlines & budgets, with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience managing art teams effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • 2-3 years experience developing and implementing solid art production pathways.
  • The ability to find creative solutions when troubleshooting and assessing risks.
  • A good understanding of cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools and the ability to implement them into current practical practices.
