Lead Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at IO Associates in Aberdeen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for AI-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers in the design and development of electrical systems
  • Oversee the implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, control hardware, and automation solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components in robotic systems
  • Drive creative solutions to complex technical challenges, particularly in the field of robotics
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure successful, timely delivery
  • Foster an environment of innovation and continuously enhance engineering processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's or PhD preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Proficiency in design tools like EPLAN, Circuit Studio, and AutoCAD
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and strong communication skills to collaborate across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex engineering challenges and drive innovative solutions
  • Experience in designing integrated electromechanical products for industrial markets
