Job Overview

Midland Structures Ltd is seeking experienced fabricators to join a growing team. As a fabricator, you will have hands-on experience working with structural steelwork and will be able to fabricate complicated assemblies working from detailed drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and bend materials to create the desired configuration.
  • Use skill and knowledge to create new component parts or joints, where necessary.
  • Operate plasma/oxy cutting equipment and other fabrication tools.
  • Use MIG welding equipment to complete tack welds and where required, fillet and butt welds.
  • Work to critical dimensions and tolerances, often with minimal supervision.
  • Work quickly but accurately to meet crucial deadlines.
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety policies at all times.
Requirements

Must have hands-on experience working with structural steelwork and be able to fabricate complicated assemblies working from detailed drawings. Must also be motivated to be a part of a successful and growing business.
