Cost Management Specialist

As a Senior Cost Manager at Turner & Townsend, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients across the globe. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goal of becoming the leading global provider of professional services to the natural resources, infrastructure, and property markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage commissions of varying sizes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of projects within the £10m to £50m range.
- Coach junior staff, allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management on all projects.
- Conduct estimating and cost planning stages, presenting final cost plans to clients and managing tendering and procurement processes.
- Take personal responsibility for peer reviewing cost allowances, conducting valuations, and ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts, interfacing with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Work collaboratively with Turner and Townsend's project management team during project delivery.
- Implement our Embodied Carbon Calculator, a bespoke carbon accounting tool, to produce carbon footprint reports.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
- Develop and maintain a professional network of peers and potential clients.
- Be involved in extracurricular activities, including external groups, attending networking and CPD events.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize more than one project at a time.
- Professional, quality-driven, goal-oriented, customer-focused, continuously improving, flexible, open, and integrated.
- Developed a market-leading suite of bespoke digital tools to deliver our market-leading cost management services.
