About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our Inclusion and Engagement Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our positive action recruitment work, aimed at improving diversity within our workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with local communities and groups to promote our organization and attract diverse talent.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Design and deliver presentations, workshops, and other materials to engage diverse audiences.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to individuals and groups to improve their chances of obtaining employment within our organization.
  • Travel across a wide geographical area to support community engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong keyboard skills.
  • Ability to act as a supportive team member and build effective working relationships.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy, educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
  • Community engagement and development skills, including experience working with diverse communities.
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to hold sensitive and difficult conversations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
