About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maths Cover Tutor to join our education team at HMYOI Wetherby. As a Cover Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our learners, providing high-quality teaching and guidance in Maths.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Maths lessons to small groups of learners, using a range of teaching methods and resources to engage and motivate students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, taking into account the needs and abilities of individual learners.
  • Assess and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the education team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism.
  • Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
