Technical Lead - HVAC and Mechanical Works

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Black Cat Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will provide technical support to engineers, staff, and clients in a client-focused setting, ensuring work standards meet and exceed regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out technical audits on sub-contractors and field engineers to ensure they are working to regulation standards and meeting company expectations.
  • Ensuring company compliance with regulatory guidelines, including F-Gas, Oftec, Gas Safe, Water Regulations, and Building Regs.
  • Assisting with planning and invoice queries related to HVAC and Mechanical works.
  • Providing in-house training and refresher courses to staff to ensure all expected standards are met.
  • Traveling to various site locations to provide technical and practical support to engineers.
  • Supporting the appointment and auditing of sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical experience of a similar role.
  • Driving Licence (Full UK).
  • Trade-specific qualifications (desirable).
  • Manufacturer training on HVAC Systems/Mechanical (desirable).
  • HVAC/Mechanical qualifications (installation, maintenance) - desirable.
  • Heat Pump Qualifications (desirable).
  • Refrigeration Qualifications/Training (desirable).
  • Site experience of five years' minimum carrying install and/or maintenance works on all aspects of HVAC/Mechanical works.
  • Site experience on building services covering all aspects such as electrical, Gas, fire alarms (desirable).
  • Experience of working with remote field teams (desirable).

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • 40 Hours, Monday to Friday - 8am till 5pm.
  • £38,000 - £43,000 per annum plus car allowance.
  • For this role, you'll need to be within commutable distance of Shrewsbury, to work at least 2/3 days in the office as required.
