We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at CV Library, a leading Facilities Management and Building Services company based in the UK.

Job Purpose: As a Technical Lead, you will provide technical support to our engineers, staff, and clients on all aspects of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Mechanical works. You will ensure that our work standards meet and exceed regulatory guidelines, supporting the growth and expansion of our business unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical advice and support to employees and clients on mechanical and HVAC-related issues.
  2. Conduct technical audits on sub-contractors and field engineers to ensure they meet regulatory standards and company expectations.
  3. Monitor and manage certification requirements to ensure compliance with current regulations (F-Gas, Oftec, Gas Safe, Water Regulations, Building Regs).
  4. Supervise F-Gas register compliance and ensure all regulations are met in line with industry expectations.
  5. Assist with planning and invoice queries related to HVAC and Mechanical works.
  6. Deliver in-house training and refresher courses to staff to maintain expected standards.
  7. Travel to various site locations to provide technical and practical support to engineers.
  8. Support the appointment and auditing of sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Manufacturer training on HVAC Systems/Mechanical (desirable).
  • HVAC/Mechanical qualifications (installation, maintenance) - desirable.
  • Heat Pump Qualifications (desirable).
  • Refrigeration Qualifications/Training (desirable).

Working Hours and Other Info:

  • 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • £38,000-£43,000 per annum plus car allowance.
  • Must be within commutable distance of Shrewsbury to work at least 2/3 days in the office.
  • Willing to travel, work outside of hours, and provide support when needed.
