As a key member of the Entain team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company meets its regulatory Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) obligations in the UK and Ireland. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a strong AFC culture within the organization, driving continuous improvements, and promoting a positive risk and compliance culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the UK MLRO in AFC-related projects and other initiatives
  • Ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of the AFC program
  • Assisting in data presentation and preparation for the Financial Crime Committee meetings
  • Ensuring strong audit trails of metrics and reports are maintained
  • Driving continuous improvements within UK, Ireland, and Jersey processes, in line with regulatory expectations and industry good practice
  • Understanding and advising on how Entain manages its AML/CTF and sanctions risk across business areas, providing guidance to senior leaders and overseeing controls to mitigate those risks
  • Driving and promoting a positive risk and compliance culture of FinCrime risk and controls by forging long-term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring industry AFC approaches and ensuring the business benefits from identified learnings
  • Managing the UK, Ireland, and Jersey-facing AFC Training, including understanding gaps in training in AFC within the organization, particularly with first-line defense teams, and monitoring the effectiveness and quality of the training delivered
  • Identifying areas of weakness in education within the organization and assisting with finding opportunities for AFC
  • Identifying, understanding, and communicating emerging risks within the business and business practices
  • Having attention to detail and asking the right questions to pinpoint key issues and provide challenge where necessary
  • Understanding regulatory changes, guidance set by regulators, enforcement actions, and interpreting how those can be applied internally to framework, methodologies, and controls
  • Supporting the UK MLRO in utilizing technology to enhance the AFC framework and tools

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of UK AFC laws and regulations, and related LCCP and industry guidance
  • Experience within the gambling industry in a similar role within AFC and Customer Protection and Social Responsibility
  • Ability to analyze data effectively
  • Confidence working with people at all levels and building relationships with senior leaders and their teams
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm for AFC
