Senior Information Security Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Specialist to join our Defensive Operations Team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day information security risk activities and support the Society's Security frameworks.
- Undertake security reviews relating to supplier risk management and cyber security.
- Oversee the implementation of information security policy, procedures, and standards across the Society and its third parties.
- Engage with the Society's business areas to provide support and guidance.
About You
We are looking for a self-starting individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for security. You will have experience in regulated industries and enjoy leading and sharing your knowledge to support business change.
Qualifications and Skills
- Recognised Information Security risk experience.
- Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably UK Financial Services.
- Experience of delivering risk assessments, assurance reports, and reporting risk to Senior Management and Committees.
- Demonstrable understanding of Information Security control standards and frameworks.
- Experience assessing and managing Third Party Risk.
- Experience of implementing security controls in the Cloud.
- Excellent communication skills and able to effectively communicate through to Senior Management and the Executive.
- Able to articulate technical risks to non-technical audiences.
