About the Role

The Senior Director, Health Partnerships will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the establishment and development of health partnerships and overall policy governance for the newly established School of Medicine at Simon Fraser University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies that foster positive partner engagement and collaboration.
  • Enable medical education training and delivery across distributed sites.
  • Oversight to support medical school accreditation cycles.
  • Advise the School's senior leadership on barriers and issues and develop solutions through initiating new partnerships or building on existing relationships, agreements, and contracts.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is a person with well-developed relationship building skills and a specialized expertise in contract and policy development, specifically in the healthcare sector. In addition to being an experienced leader with a proven track record of strategic business acumen that achieves results, the candidate will thrive in a complex multi-divisional work environment.

  • Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related discipline with seven years of relevant senior management experience in the healthcare sector, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Partnership engagement and management.
  • Negotiating contracts and clinical agreements.
  • Policy governance.
  • Medical education accreditation cycles.
