About the Role

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Health Promotion Lead to join the NCL Targeted Lung Health Checks team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving lung cancer outcomes for the population of North Central London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health promotion strategies to improve participation in the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme.
  • Work closely with the NCL Cancer Alliance and other local stakeholders to address health inequalities and improve access to lung cancer screening.
  • Collaborate with the TLHC Operational Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the health promotion programme.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop targeted interventions to address health disparities in the eligible population.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community services and primary care providers to promote the programme and improve health outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the health promotion programme and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as health promotion, public health, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience of working in health promotion, public health, or a related field, with a focus on improving health outcomes and addressing health inequalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and information to inform programme development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of health promotion theories and models, and experience of applying them in practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
