About the Role

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Health Promotion Lead to join the NCL Targeted Lung Health Checks team. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving lung cancer outcomes for the population of North Central London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health promotion strategies to improve participation in the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme.
  • Work with the TLHC team, NCL Cancer Alliance, and other local stakeholders to identify and address health inequalities.
  • Collaborate with community services and primary care to develop and deliver health promotion initiatives.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with health promotion activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, stakeholders, and colleagues to promote the programme and its benefits.

Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience of working in or with the NHS, facilitating change to improve care or health outcomes.
  • Experience of behaviour change techniques, focusing on best practice guidelines and evidence of effectiveness.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise yet insightful written communications and reports for dissemination to a range of stakeholders.
