About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at HMYOI Werrington. As a member of our Prison Education team, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.

Job Description

You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individual learning support plans, providing targeted support to learners in both classroom and workshop environments. Your expertise will help create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and vocational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of learners and conduct initial screening activities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with learners, staff, and external partners
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of inclusive education programs
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Learning Support qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Relevant experience working in a similar role within a learning environment
  • Demonstrated passion for working with learners with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development

Salary and Benefits

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
