We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Teach Now in Edmonton, London. This challenging yet rewarding role requires a passion for supporting young people with autism and a commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As an Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist, you will work closely with children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning. Your primary responsibility will be to build relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, and adapting support accordingly. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure each child receives the best possible education.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children with ASD is essential.
  2. A proactive approach and willingness to adapt support based on the individual needs of each child.
  3. Relevant qualifications or experience in special educational needs (desirable).
  4. Help students build functional skills, manage anxiety, and develop independence in their learning.
  5. Create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel understood and supported.
