Job Summary

Ideal Personnel and Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Secretary to join their busy team in a Family Law firm. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Family Law team, handling a wide range of tasks including typing correspondence, completing legal documents, and managing diaries.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Typing correspondence to clients, other firms of solicitors, and external parties
  2. Preparing and completing legal documents, including contracts and agreements
  3. Managing diaries for solicitors and fee-earners, making appointments, and organizing meetings
  4. Answering telephone calls, taking messages, and responding to queries
  5. Handling incoming and outgoing post, including mail and packages
  6. Setting up new files, closing, and archiving files, and arranging for storage
  7. Managing accounts, including typing client bills, completing timesheets, and organizing payments and expenses
  8. Performing other administrative tasks, including photocopying, filing, and data entry

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a legal environment, preferably in a Family Law firm
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
