Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Night Nurse/Paramedic to join our Urgent Care Service in East Kent. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with urgent clinical needs, working independently with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic care for patients
  • Develop integrated care plans in partnership with patients
  • Order equipment and send onward referrals as necessary
  • Support the supervision and development of junior staff, including Health Care Assistants and Students
  • Work as a member of the multi-professional team to provide high-quality care to patients
  • Undertake a range of competent clinical interventions and identify any deterioration in patients' condition, taking appropriate action
  • Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs associated with a specific specialty
  • Support in duty role and complete triages

Person Specification
  • Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (1st Level Nurse/ NMC or Physiotherapist; Occupational Therapist; etc / HCPC) Must have valid UK NMC PIN
  • Experience of recent community/acute healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment
  • Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS Knowledge of up to date clinical practice
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) Ability to organise own work Ability to cope with change Ability to use own initiative Holds current UK driving licence/permit & access to vehicle
  • Ability to motivate and organise others to ensure best practice Ability to work under pressure Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to support the implementation of local and national agendas for health under the guidance of the team lead / ward manager. Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, considering Trust policies and procedures.
