Financial Operations Assistant

Pertemps is currently recruiting for a Financial Operations Assistant to support our client in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into SAGE 50
  • Preparing payroll to send to the external payroll contractor
  • Working closely with the accountant to perform administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Dealing with petty cash
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the accountants reconcile inaccuracies
  • Processing bank transfer requests
  • Scanning, filing, and logging account documents
Requirements:
  • Finance-related qualification (AAT or the equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance-related role
  • Good knowledge and experience with a variety of accounting software such as Xero, Sage 50 and QuickBooks
  • Be highly efficient and organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
