Railway Performance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Railway Performance Engineer to join our team at TXM Recruit. This exciting role will involve working on brand new state-of-the-art locomotives as part of a multi-million-pound fleet introduction and maintenance project.
The successful candidate will have exposure to performance analytics and duties, with experience in Rolling Stock engineering. They will be responsible for providing engineering systems, processes, and procedures services to ensure business engineering assurance and performance growth requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, revise, and approve complex engineering designs, reports, recommendations, investigations, etc.
- Ensure high-quality reporting in relation to in-service and other defects, both at system and component level, utilizing analytical methods.
- Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement, people development, operational excellence, and end-user experience.
Requirements:
- NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in an engineering discipline, ideally HNC/HND or higher.
- Knowledge of maintenance activities with a large multi-disciplined transport fleet.
- Proven record of achievement and experience in the Rolling Stock industry at a performance or senior technician level.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £59,000 per annum, depending on experience. The benefits package includes 33 days holiday, generous pension contribution, membership of health cashback plans, and a flexi-time scheme.
